Microsoft had announced today that their Xbox One console had sold about 3 million units by the end of 2013. As per previous Xbox One data, that figure is sell-through, with Microsoft stipulating the units were “sold to consumers.”

According to  the Xbox Corporate VP of Marketing, Strategy and Business Yusuf Mehdi.”It’s been incredible to see Xbox One selling at a record-setting pace for Xbox, “And we were honored to see Xbox One become the fastest-selling console in the U.S. during our launch month in November. Since our launch, demand for Xbox One has been strong, selling out throughout the holidays at most retailers worldwide. We are continuing to work hard to deliver additional consoles to retailers as fast as possible.” As well as a estatic thank you letter to the fanboys..er- I mean fans, here.

I, for all intents and purposes don’t really care or find this riveting gaming news. I pretty much only see this as an opportunity for fanboys to use this piece of information to fuel their stupid and pointless childish console war against WiiU and PS4 fans.
