Your #1 Source For Gaming And Tech News

Well people, it seems like that time has finally come. Nintendo has confirmed that they will be shutting down all online servers for Wii and DS games on May 20th, 2014. The company will keep the servers up for the Wii Shop Channel and DS eShop, as well as internet browsers and streaming services such as Netflix and Hulu. But as far as games goes, any game using the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection will be officially unplayable online come May.

It’s important to note that every Wii and DS game don’t use the NWC, but most did and I wouldn’t get your hopes up for expecting those games to still be up either, but there’s always a chance.

So if you have any online Wii or DS titles that you loved back in the day and want to play one more time, now is the time to play them.
