The 2014 Pokemon National Championships are coming up in the US next month and it has just been announced that the tournament will be streamed live on Twitch for the first time ever.

It will feature Pokemon X and Pokemon Y as well as TCG matches. The schedule is as follows:

  • Saturday, July 5, noon-5 p.m. ET: Pokemon Video Game Swiss Rounds
  • Saturday, July 5, 5-9 p.m. ET: Pokemon TCG Swiss Rounds
  • Sunday, July 6, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. ET: Pokemon TCG Top Cut and Finals
  • Sunday, July 6, 2-5 p.m. ET: Pokemon Video Game Top Cut and Finals

The US National Championships will be taking place in Indianapolis, IN and attendees with either X or Y will be able to receive a shiny Mamoswine for their game.

The Pokemon World Championships are approaching as well, set for August 16 and 17 in Washington D.C. We don’t know if this event will be live streamed as well, but if the nationals catch enough attention, I’d say it’s a safe bet.
