Intel is planning on joining forces with Acer, Asustek Computer, Google, HP, Lenovo, Pegatron Technology, and Quanta Computer in order to develop and release 2-in-1 Chromebooks this year. The companies are going to be focusing on 11″ to 13″ inch Chromebooks, and they’re going to market based on their low prices and appeal to the education system. These 2-in-1 Chromebooks will be cheaper than Microsoft’s Windows 2-in-1’s and will start being released in the second quarter of this year.
