Nintendo seems to have once again have dominated the Japanese sales charts for the week of August 12th. According to major Japanese retailer Tsutaya, Nintendo fills up 9 of the top 10 spots on the charts, with Dragon Crown on the PS3 being the only non-Nintendo game on the list:
- Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life – 3DS
- Mario & Luigi: Dream Team – 3DS
- Youkai Watch – 3DS
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies – 3DS
- Dragon’s Crown – PS3
- Tomodachi Collection: New Life – 3DS
- One Piece: Romance Dawn – 3DS
- Pikmin 3 – Wii U
- Animal Crossing: New Leaf – 3DS
- Fantasy Life Link! – 3DS
An interesting note is that Pikmin 3 actually had a resurgence in sales, putting the title back in the top 10 from it’s #12 spot last week.
Despite the Wii U’s current struggles, it’s good to see Nintendo having almost complete domination in at least one region. Truly this shows that Nintendo is set to be doomed.

It’s insane that Animal Crossing is still in the top 10 Weekly considering how long ago it came out in Japan.
Also glad to see Pikmin 3 still up their despite poor Wii U sales the game has been selling really well (Not sure of NA sales?) but it has also made a slight uptick in Hardware sales, Nintendo must be very happy about dominating their homeland like this.
Nintendo is murdering its competition in Japan it seems
