EA Keeping Old Battlefield Servers after GameSpy Shut Down

Recently announced that GameSpy multiplayer services will be shutting down after May 31, the main concern was with all the companies using GameSpy’s servers what they would do for their multiplayer feature of their games. While many companies are being affected by this, most have not yet commented  on what they plan to do. EA, being one of the top dog companies using GameSpy did however finally comment that for sure they will continue supporting Battlefield 2, Bad Company 2 and      Battlefield 2142. Other titles under EA however do not have a clear future if their multiplayer will continue after the May 31 shut down of GameSpy.

Other companies such as Capcom, Sega, and Rockstar that are also affected are currently working on solutions for their titles, while Activision has already announced that it will not be affected by this at all.
