The Xbox One has had an Energy-Saving mode that allows the console to consume less power overall. This mode can save “$6 to $15 in energy costs per year” according to Microsoft. At the moment, Xbox One owners can choose to turn on this mode, but they weren’t asked about using it when setting up the console. Now, Microsoft will change the set up when someone buys a new Xbox One to ask them if they want to turn on Energy-Saving mode. The company wants users to know about this mode from the start.
Users can also choose Instant-On mode which turns the console on within two seconds and downloads updates automatically.by
