New Nintendo 3DS Off to a Strong Start in Japan

The numbers are in for the New Nintendo 3DS in Japan and they are looking quite good. In the latest financial result briefing, Nintendo shared the positive news about the newest addition to their handheld line. As it  stands, the New 3DS is currently outpacing the most recent remodeled handhelds.

3DS1-noscale[1] The New 3DS sales numbers have been increasing every week according to Media Create. The first week it sold 200,000, the second week it sold 300,000 and now in week three, it has put up 400,000. With its popularity growing, it is very possible that Japanese developers will take note and begin developing more exclusive titles for the machine. It will be interesting to see how well the New 3DS performs when it launches elsewhere.
