PS3 Firmware update 4.70 Now Available

For those of you that are still rocking Sony’s fantastic PlayStation 3 console, there is a new firmware update available for you download.

This is an old platform, so as expected this firmware update introduces minor improvements. However, it does introduce the much more simple and clean PlayStation Network logo. Pretty minor but still really cool to see it on the PS3. Here is a look at the changes the come along with the update:

Closed Captions are now supported for the Playback of Blu-Ray Disc titles and DVDs. To display closed captions, select [Settings] > [Video Settings] > [Closed Captions].

The style used for for closed captions, such as the font, size and color, can now be adjusted. Select [Settings] > [Video Settings] > [Closed Captions Settings].

The name and icon of [PSN™] were changed to [PlayStation™ Network].

I personally think the logo looks cleaner. Go check out the update!
